I understand that people have different goals and everyone needs to start somewhere. I also realize that when I first started working out I did TONs of things wrong. Poor form, poor work out routine, poor diet for my goals etc. I watch people/kids making the same mistakes but they will get some results. I'm talking about the LARGE people who do nothing. The most exercise they got was walking from the car to the gym and then sit on the machine/bench that you would really like to be using. Yeah I could go up and say excuse me can I use this but I'm also a little shy/timid and most of the time they really stink from BO and it's not from working out.
I think it's great that some gyms have trainers. They should make it mandatory that when you first sing up you have to spend the first 5 or 10 visits with the trainer unless it's obvious you know what you are doing and even they everyone can use a few pointers.
