    it's a good energy source but here's a little physiology to help you understand, carbs are the bodies main energy source, they are easy to turn into energy so they are the first thing your body will use if it has them, fat are reserves, though since they are easier to break down than protein they will be used if no carbs are present

    if you eat a meal with carbs and fats, then your body will use the carbs for energy and store the fats in reserve aka into fat cells, not what we want, though good fats have less chance of this than bad fats

    I have often thought it was just a scheme to get us to not eat really horrible foods. Most unhealthy foods like donuts, pizza, ice cream, french fries, cakes and hot dogs are carb/fat combos.


    If I was a trainer I would tell my clients to never eat carbs and fats together. Thus magically removing a big portion of junk food.
