    Need ideas for vacation spots

Me and my girlfriend and another couple want to go on vacation in August, but we need some ideas where to go. Cost is on the main concerns, I'd like to keep it around $850-1000 a person no more than that...anyone got good ideas?

dont know how much costa rica costs, but I heard some amazing things about it. Cancun was a blast, lots of party places......Punta cana is in dominican republic, its nice, more layed back, relaxing......europeans love it, you will see guys in speedo's all day long its wierd.........I witnessed a 40 year old fat guy in a speedo playing vollyball yell "aw shiza" when missing the ball.

dont know how much any of those cost, but its great.

I'm with Iron...Punta Cana is nice and fairly cheap for the views/scenario you get. Go to an all inclusive resort in Punta Cana. The resorts have security and are private, so you don't have to worry about locals stealing or robbing. I took a catamaran trip to a remote island of the coast...most unbelievable water I have ever seen. You could see the bottom in 30 foot deep water.

Here is the site I use to book my vacations

We are not going to go there.

I have been round and round with this one.

Its going to be a long as trip. make sure you don't book it longer then 3 4 night. If you do its going to feel like the never ending vacation.

Also make it cheep. I hate to see good money wasted on a bad trip.

I like the tough guy talk. But you and i both know your puss wiped.

easy to do. Just set up a group package in the sight. You both can log into it so you can get the same deals. Then just book your trips and meet at the resort.

Take a flight that meets at the same airport. Most of the continental out of country go via houston and if you use frequent flyer miles they route you through houston so just book one of those flights that meet up at same airport. If not meet at the resort.

Meet halfway in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It's a pretty little town (population 5000-ish) with a downtown that's mostly preserved in 1910 style, lots of hotel space, lots of scenic vistas, and it's in the middle of the Ozarks, with camping and canoe trips & etc.

It's good for about 3-4 days, then you start thinking that you've seen everything, unless you've rented a place on a lake. You can also rent motorcycles in Branson, which is not too far away, and cruise through the spectacular back roads. My favorite spot to stay in is the RoadRunner Inn, but there are lots of good places to stay.

Check out the town's websites at

And reasonable airfare can be had to the NW Arkansas airport at

    Hope this helps . . .
