Hi guys, been lurking around these forums for a while and decided to finally sign-up to give a brief overview on my ongoing cycle of Anavar only.

First, stats:
Age: 31
Sex: Yes, please! (Male)
Height: 1.93 (6,3)
Weight: 98kg (216lbs)
Bodyfat: around 13% I would think
Working out for about 5 years
Lifts
(I *never ever* do max reps so these are only calculations based on 2-3 rpm)
Squat: 180kg (396lbs)
Deadlift: 190kg (418)
Bench: 130kg (286lbs)
Wide-grip chins: 10 with bodyweight
Dips: 10 weighted with 17kg (37lbs) (dips is my favourite exercise)
First off, this is my second cycle. I did my first cycle pretty much a year ago which was basically 400mg Deca EW, 250mg Test Cyp EW and 25mg Winstrol tabs ED. The whole cycle lasted for 8 weeks. 20mg Nolva for 21 days and a couple of shots of HCG as well. Monitored bloodwork, bloodpressure and organ values before, during and after the cycle (my doctor knew what I was doing). I went from 88kg (194lbs) to 103kg (227lbs) during those 8 weeks.
In case someone's wondering about side effects etc I got NONE whatsoever during that cycle - which surprised me as I'm prone to acne - but I did, however, experience PCT acne which took me by surprise to be honest, until I read that was quite common.
Moving on, I didn't manage to keep that much weight or strenght afterwards because of two things: 1) Diet, 2) Training. Yup, the basics. While I was "on" I had a strict diet regime with 4000kcal each day with only clean foods, lots of protein, fiber, vitamins, fish oil etc. It was all monitored by a friend of mine who is a pro bodybuilder. I did *everything* by the book and he was quite impressed by my gains in such a short period of time and moderate amount of steroids. I was even impressed myself
After the cycle I was SO sick of eating you have no idea. People don't know how much effort it really is when you eat 100gr of oatmeal mixed with whey, two eggs and fruit for breakfast, three hours later 100gr of rice and 300gr of turkey, then another three hours later more rice, tuna and half a broccoli and so on. You simply get sick and tired of eating...and preparing all this food. And when you don't do this sh|t for a living it's hard to maintain this year around. When diet suffers; training suffers, when training suffers; diet suffers even more and so on. Some of you might have experienced this.
I went to the gym more sporadic; some weeks 4 times a week, some weeks 5 times, some weeks 1 time. I did, however, when training for only a few times a week, make sure to do the basic exercises like deadlifts, squats, chins, snatches etc to keep some core strength and keep overall fit.
Moving on. I was planning on a new cycle earlier this year. After my first cycle I got some positive feedback and some negative feedback (always haters!). Normally I couldn't care less about negative feedback, but these were from my girlfriend and friends, and that's something you (at least *I*) listened to. I'm pretty tall so a lot of people found me, well, to look somewhat threatning. I wasn't huge, but the bulky look you get from test and Deca didn't suite my frame that well. What I decided on was to do a more "relaxed" cycle this year and landed on Anavar and Test Enth. Basically I was planning on 50mg Anavar ED and 300mg test EW for about 8 weeks.
I got the Anavar first and was supposed to get the test the following week, so I started with 40mg ED of Anavar. After week 2 my test STILL hadn't arrived, and I had already started popping 50mg Anavar ED, so I just continued. I received the test in the end of my third week but I thought "f'ck it; I'll save it for the next cycle" and continued on Anavar only.
I am now in my 6th week of Anavar only. I went from 94kg (204lbs) to 98kg (216lbs) in those weeks with quality gains. My strength is up pretty good, I've got veins from hell and get good pumps in the gym. All in all, pretty satisfied. As for sides I haven't experienced any; clear skin, my balls haven't shrunken that bad (not like my first cycle when I had raisin ballz). Only thing I have experienced is my mood; I'm a bit mellow. But I'm not sure if this is the Anavar or the fact that my GF and I have been going through some pretty rough times. Who knows.
My diet now is NOTHING like on my first cycle. I mean, I still eat oatmeal and whey with raisins for breakfast, I eat "regular" (but healthy) lunch with my colleagues, I have an extra meal after that, I'll get my post-workout shake and possibly an omelette for the evening. I am totalling at about 3,200kcal a day I think. Still, pretty pleased with my gains so far (remember: no water retention on Anavar and I have lost some fat in my trunk). This indicates solid mass added. Now that summer is here I have some wine and some cold beers during weekends. I enjoy life and would rather have a cold one with my friends than an eight-pack
Overall, I am a lot more pleased than when I did deca, test and winny. Why? Because my body now looks a lot more fit. I know a lot of you guys are hardcore gainers who would die to look like a pro builder, but there are also some of us who are just aiming for that fit, vascular look. If you're opting for the latter: you don't have to do 1000mg of injectables each week! People going on about "oral only is bad" and, "you need to shoot test and tren to get some action!" etc might not be the thing YOU'RE looking for.
If you just want to add a year of training in a couple of months; do some milder steroids like Anavar or Primobolan, or - like I want to do next time - add 150-250mg EW of test enth or cypionate as a base to get some extra "kick". That's it! You do NOT need huge amounts of heavy steroids to reach your goals if you just want an extra boost and an extra bonus in the gym! The way I look at it, the mild steroids or low doses I take are just "really, really good supplements"![]()
