If you move to the Netherlands the state is not going to give a damn how much you paid into the English health care system. You brought up moving, so I'm just remarking on the ridiculousness of your belief that your taxes paid into one state's system have any bearing on your liability in another state's system.

If you tallied the amount of tax contributions you made to your state for health care over the course of your life I bet you it would be enough to buy yourself a little vacation home in France or somewhere else of your choosing.

I find that comment very insulting as i am decent of natons who have been oppressed by English rule for hundereds of years. So heres couth for you .
Yeah, you and half the rest of the world's population. Your ethnicity is irrelevant when the issue is nationality. What state are you a citizen of?

If you are an English citizen, than you are an Englishman. If you don't understand that than your dangerous opinions are the least of your problems.

I think someone needs to learn to read properly before coming out a bold statment such as the one above.....
If i have to spel it out for you i was insinuating that i am starting to rethink the whole premis of relocating to the United States of America. This notion has been based firmly on the fact that the Health Care system in teh US is flawed and where is the sense in me paying for a health system in teh Uk and moving to America in later years to fall sick and have to pay my way back to a healthy lifestyle.
I'm not arguing the merits of the US health care system. I think that at this time the UK system is preferable to the mess that we've created over here, especially if you are very ill and have little or no income. But, like everything else in government, it's the lesser of the two evils, but by no means a good system.

You're missing the point, and big surprise, you're being insulting again. It doesn't matter where you go, your tax contributions into the UK health care system aren't going to matter. You start over regardless of where you go. If I was considering moving to another country, the cost of healthcare would play only a small role in my decision.

It's not free, you or someone else is paying for it. You just aren't getting what you pay for.

Lots of reasons really. A good reason would be that a greater percentage of people die from their ailments under a socialised system, the NHS in particular, than under the market-based system like in the US. Socialism breeds mediocrity. If you want to die in surgery, the NHS is for you.
