Other than not being allowed into a bar because they are open toe'd, why not?

The jeans and flip flops combo is fine in my book but going to the bar with them , ehhh i wouldn't. With the bars i go to i get my foot stepping on often so it wouldn't be smart.

Flip flops, sandals are meant for the beach or around the house. A person takes his or her time to get cleaned up to go out leave the $10 sandals at home. Total turnoff.
