    PCT Acne

So how long does this bullshit last?

I did not have hardly any acne during cycle, and I heard it was worse during Pct, but damn. I'm only about a week into Pct and its already more than I care to have, one of them is a bad looking spot too, almost like a big welt or hive or shingle or something. Please tell me this stops soon and any advice you have that might help.

I am washing with benzoil soap, using astringents, and spot treatment. I have heard tanning will help as well, dunno when I will see the sun again here. TIA for any suggestions...Nitro

Nitro everyone is different but for me personaly the last cycle I did had deca in it for the first time and I got hit hard by acne. I dont get it from test and haven't had it since I was a teen but about 2 weeks into pct my shoulders were covered in acne. 4 months on and I still cant get rid of it, I'm on minocycline 100mgs per day and using all the scrubs and it's still there. Not getting any of the big heads and sore lumps but they are still there under the skin so just like you I am open to any suggestions. Good luck with it.

I have heard taking extremely high doses of Vitamin B5 i believe is supposed to really help. i read about it in the AR spa section awhile back I think. Also if its to the extent where you just cant handle it go see your derm. and ask if he can put you on accutane. It will get rid of everything. When I took it back in highschool I only took it for two weeks and by about the 10th day almost all of my acne was fading and i didnt get any new pimples popping up but I had to stop taking it because my liver function was high after one of my blood tests and the derm made me stop taking it. Oh and if you take it get ready to be dry, you will peel like crazy so buy a ton of lotion and chapstick

I might give the B5 a try, how high a dose are we talking here? Accutane is no good as I'm doing my cycle in Thailand and want to be in the sun all the time so that would be a killer for me.

ask your doc for Clindamycin Phosphate, this is a topical solution, I use it in the form of a "clinda-reach kit" medicated pads with a wand type thing so you can reach your back. I have had back acne since puberty (43 now) this is the most effective stuff I have ever used.

Interested in B5 as well. I took accutane for awhile when I was in my teens and it did wonders. For some reason, I am still prone to pretty bad acne when I am stressed, sick, cycling, etc. Thanks guys!

I have used this for years, and am using it now. Yes it is pretty good stuff, and it is really working in the places I normally have problems. Unfortunately, I am having outbreaks in new places now, and I need something more. I think this solution also goes by the name Cleocin t. Regardless I have a 60 ml bottle of Clindamycin Phosphate and it is helping, but I need more.

In cases where I have had some really bad spots, like abcesses, or cystic acne spots on my face, my dermatologist has injected cortizone directly into the spot and you would not believe how good this works. You can have the most hideous looking place imageinable, and about 6 hrs after this injection you can barely see a thing. It is the closest thing I have seen to a miracle drug in terms of dermatology...Nitro

there are a few threads on it in the AR spa. Search pantothenic acid or B5 but from my searches some of the most common ways of doing it are for the first month take 10g a day in divided doses and then after that first month take 3-5g for as long as you want. But I would search for it and look up as much as you can about peoples average dose

    A couple links I found:
    http://forums.steroid.com/showthread...ht=pantothenic

Also try googling pantothenic acid and acne and that might give you alot more advice

I really only have one on my face, and its on the side, by my sideburns, but it needs to go. the Cleocin solution has done wonders on the rest of my face. Minocyclin is just a form of tetracycline (antibiotic) that is especially suited for treaing acne. Some have great results with it, other not so much. Its worth a shot, but it didnt help me all that much when I took it years ago...Nitro

I took doxycycline at one point and they basically didnt do crap for me. It will reduce the amount of "boiles" you get(the big, tender lumpy ones) but that was about the only thing it did for me. And I have tried several of the creams. Some worked for like 2 weeks and then stopped working and others just flat out didnt work. Right now I'm on some type of antibiotic pill that the derm said should take a couple months to kick in but does a great job once it kicks in. Also I bought some kit thing at Walgreens awhile back. Its a 4 step thing you do twice a day and it really helped but I always seem to be late in the mornings so i never have time to do all the steps but you wash your face with this special face wash, then put on this stuff called corrective toner, and in the mornings you put on a 10 benzoyl peroxide cream that is extended release and keeps anything from popping up during the day and at night you do the first 2 steps and instead of the benzoyl peroxide you put on retinol cream. Overall it seemed to do a pretty good job

I also used a antibiotic called solodyn before the doc gave me the Clindamycin Phosphate, it seemed to work great, the doc did not want to keep me on it for a long time and it turned out the Clindamycin Phosphate worked just as well for me.

Keep it up, that stuff takes a while to really work many times, like towards the end and beyond. Also, see if you can get the CP solution to use in conjunction.

And I'm not shitting, if you get a bad spot that wont go away, they can shoot it with a small needle (like a slin needle) with cortizone, and it will be gone before you can believe it. Good luck bro, I feel your pain. Keep in touch with me, let me know how it goes, and feel free to pm pm me...Nitro

What dose were you taking the accutane at when you almost got rid of it after 10days. I took some adex on cycle to get rid of some gyno and my back broke out. I start pct in about 10days, i'm expecting it to be alot worse.
