I just tried that to see if it will crack my zip files, and from what I gathered about it, it uses brute forcing which will prob take years because my password is greater then 6 characters and under 256-bit encryption. I could be wrong though.Originally Posted by spywizard

That link you gave, I skimmed it over again.
"WinZip 9.x introduced the AES encryption. ZipPassword supports AES encrypted zip archives, however the search speed is very slow (due to the encyption scheme). It means that you can recover very short passwords only. We suggest that you use the dictionary attack with such archives. You can download additional dictionaries from here."
8-10 letter password is what I use for everything, have fun trying to crack that
