how would gatorade be bad, besides for the fact that it's fast-acting, which arguably is better anyway

i like to spike my insulin levels after workout, and shuttle the protein into my muscles..and i also dont feel healthy taking in 80g of pure sugar, so gatorade is a good alternative

you wont get an insulin spike from eating food, only if you're using slin.
and shuttle into muscles, doesnt happen. blunting cortisol, and beginning protein synthesis are your objectives, and any meal with do that.

really? everything i've ever read says it's possible to spike insulin levels without using slin.. any study on this that shows it's not possible? i'd be interested in reading it.. if this were true, everyone that uses dextrose after workout would be basically putting 80g of sugar into their body for absolutely no reason

Nova what are your thoughts on fat intake and blunting cortisol? My understanding it impedes the process if I recall well.

All this talk takes me back to The Zone Diet. 30%pro 40%carb 30%fat.

Lean protein, low GI carbs and EFA's

    I like 40/40/20 myself.
