Be sure not to use a paper towel next time and dont ever swab the pin....both are violations of aseptic technique! The pins are sterile no need to swab them and the paper towels are FAR from sterile...go get some alcohol pads at the pharmacy. Make sure when you swab the vial and your skin you go in ONE direction...not back and forth or in circles.

this is incorrect. Proper technique taught to all medical personnel is to start at the center of where the injection is going to be and make a circular motion in and outward direction away from the injection site. So you make a circular spiral away from the injection site basically.
