    Your friend is very rare. Yes there are successful trainer but a huge % more arent. Most successful trainers dont train in a gym. They have their own studio. Also most successful trainers don't even train anymore. The yrun the business and have trainer that work for them. I've been in the industry for years. I'M glad its not your career choice.     Yes, exactly. I've been in this industry long enough (yet thankfully it's not a career choice for me) to know that it really just leads to frustration. The only way you get anywhere, as you said, is by rising up to the management level. And if you're a manager, you're not even a trainer anymore. I hear trainers all the time tell me they'd love to make it career and rise up to the management position... but at that point, like I said, you're not even a trainer anymore. You're better off just getting a degree in business and becoming a manager in a small company.
