LOL nope i am lost. †hoguht it was his daughters BF?
i know about all these guys like that because i have a lot of patients of Medicare age who are supporting their live at home children. guys in their 40's with no jobs or deadend jobs who mooch off their parents forever. it's sad, but too many parents spoil their kids.
my pop is two generations above me age-wise. when i was a teenager he always said 'when you're eighteen you're moving out." and there is something to be said for that attitude, even if it's not all cuddly and fuzzy.
The Q+A at dinner would have been comical if it wasn't so sad. As an idea:
me: so how long do you plan to live at home with your parents?
him: I really can't afford to move out on my own.
me: so are you looking into a career or a better job?
him: no, I like my job, I really don't have to do that much.
is that REALLY what he said?......
sheeeeeeeeeeeeeee-it. that IS sad. on the up side, it shouldn't take too long for her to get a grip on reality; the loser boyfriend will get old after a time. (please be to G-d)
no aspirations whatsoever. no plans. wonder where he gets money for his habit. i hope you warn her not to make "loans" to him.
this one would have been an eye-opener:
You: so where do you see yourself ten years from now? twenty?
he works a lame job and lives at home, no overhead.
I talked to her about it, but since this guy came into her life she lost the ability to reason, at least for now. I hope you're right about it passing soon.
I better get some sleep, thanks for listening I just needed to vent.
You kids still around....
Peachfuzz.... Scibble? Got some questions about insulin if you can help me
Im here but sorry to say i dont know much about insulin. not something ive even contemplated using.
what is your question smalls?
Ok well neither do I and we are going to use it during the cruise phase before I cycle again. You can buy the shit legally right?
questions?
hi kats, reed, peaches 'n fuzz
Yes I guess you don't need a prescription for insulin.... just some of the newer brands you do... thats what I have found out.... was told to just go to the pharm and ask them for insulin and pins for my diabetes. Anything I should ask for specifically?
you would want to specify the type of insulin, I would guess "regular" but for non-diabetic purposes you may have other ideas, such as fast-acting Lispro.
you should of course have a glucometer and testing strips available. lancets for pricking your finger for testing.
I will be starting around 2IUs at first with my waize maxy/ protein shake of course. I will have so simple carbs on hand at all times just incase I go hypo. I was told and read you can get certain types of insulin without a prescription.. But things like Humalog R and another long acting insulin you can not. So IDK WTF to ask for.
i didn't even know you didn't need a prescription.
so just ask for "generic" regular insulin, or "i'd like generic version of Humulin-R"
the use of my google skills says you may be correct about the legality reed.
BTW, "regular" insulin is actually a type of insulin, i'm not trying to sound stupid with that.
any pharmacist will know exactly what you are asking for if you just say "Regular" insulin, one vial.
Don't worry your with stupid right now
Lispro is prescription only....Humulin R (Regular Insulin) is available over the counter.
see? peach and I together make a whole human brain!

Hmmm I'm reading a good thread on insulin but its only for Humalog not Humalog R... I will have ask horse the difference. Man this shit is so complicated ordering, knowing your shit, man why can't people just send it all to me for free and I'll take it to the Olympia for them
