    pushups measure upper-body endurance—the ability to use your strength over time.


    I think they are great for beginners and to switch up things every now and then. I do them, but they are not a steady in my workout routine.

    my friend when we was in the army did 2000 push ups a day,his lats,shoulders,triceps definatly got bigger over time,very v shaped on his upper body

    What part of the army?

    Not saying your full of shit,, but my buddy is an officer in the US army, and he does no where near 2000 every single day....
