How do I disable a smoke alarm?

Rather then tape it and have it look ghetto, in my kitchen we have a cieling fan right next to the alarm, this will stop them 90% of the time unless theres a real fire.

You just gotta diffuse the smoke quicker. If you notice you can have a room thats smoky as shit w/out the alarm going off. Its only the those dense spurts that activate it, so just keep a fan nearby.

Exactly. And if you don't have a ceiling fan, keep a little portable fan next to it and blow the smoke out the window
