then I would look at my rep range, if it is causing pain to the point where you need to medicate yourself, I would consider warming up more, maybe literally heating up your shoulders before you lift or lower the weight a bit for some time.

I am sure you can think of a better way to alleviate the pain and not have to use painkillers, I don't recommend taking any kind of medication to make your pain go away, pain is there for a reason, to tell you something is wrong. Sure once or twice isn't going to kill you, it won't do THAT much good either but, I have seen myself and others get hooked on shit from just once or twice. Even ibuprofen.

Vicodin is the only thing I have ever found myself literally addicted to.
I did chest, so I think the combination of bench press and incline bench press caused my shoulders to hurt.

I mean I get this pain every once in a while, usually signfying that my shoulders are taking a good workload, but the pain was the worst I have ever had, usually its this dull pain, today however, it was a sharp pain that wouldn't go away (got through my workout alright but afterwards when I wanted the pain to go away it just hung in there till I got home and then it got better)

My form is fine, especially my bench form, I do everything by the book.

So I guess either my tendon in my shoulder was acting up or it was the rotator cuff.

This could be the culprit right there.. I had to stop incline bench because of shoulder pain..

Yep, me too. I hadn't been doing that exercise for too long when I felt an almost pop followed by intense burning and tingling in my left shoulder. I've had problems ever since with that shoulder.

I'm still trying to find what exercises are good for shoulders that don't cause flare ups. Been doing Arnold presses, and they were fine up until a couple workouts ago...
