Disrespectful comments about anothers beliefs or faiths will not be tolerated

I say this because we all have different opinions. What is offensive to one is not to another. So when do you decide to lock a thread ? When it offends a mod or vet ? How about of it offends me ? I report it and it gets overlooked. I been flat out called a "fag" (in past) in a disrespectful way which i reported and it doesn't get locked. Maybe an edit at most.

My point is , how do you draw that line ?

I think posts should be edited, instead of the entire thread deleted. Unless the original post is itself totally disrespectful.

the problem with that is people become possessive of their writings, i appreciate the suggestion, however what ends up happening is people will quote the person and then there are multiple edits, after the 20th edit in 15-20 minutes, it becomes tiresome..

It was actually a good idea/thread that started, however most people cannot contain their bigotry in their speech or writings..

If one group of people hate them they feel it's ok to hate them back, not realizing that they need to be accepting of other's differences, especially when they demand to be accepted by others..

Or i could just do the move to one on one with the staff and let the offender defend before all of us why they are not willing to follow this boards rules and then they can hope not to be suspended or banned..
