buying pins from the pharmacy

21G 1 1/2" is what any doctor, hospital would use for IM (oil based) when injecting in the glutes or even lower back. 23G 1" is what I use for shoulders, biceps and quads as there is little fat in these areas (also what I received when in hospital)
Where do I get my info from? I work in a Pharma Co so there are many people here with that kind of knowledge.25G aren't long enough and also from what I see is the prefered choice of the local druggy's around here........now that would arouse suspicion buying those in the pharmacy

as stated 25g is not the length of the needle as you can get it multiple lengths. Also, 25g is perfect for shooting as you shoot slow letting the oil disperse in the muscle. 23g is fine too but less scar tissue the better IMO.

And as well, normally slin pins are used for drugs....well i guess whatever they can get there hands on.

The reason I stated that 25G are not long enough is because the only come with maximum length of 1", which I suppose is long enough really but for glutes not ideal.
I go by the recommendation of the professionals, simple as that.
Yes that is also true that drug users use slin pins, that is until their veins are shot, then they use flash brown or flash orange packs containing 27G or 25G. The sad shit here in Switzerland is that you can watch everyday the druggies shooting up in compounds just off the main streets as it is legal for them to shoot heroin !
There is also a technical reason why certain pins are used with certain syringes, bottom line being that if you use a 25G with a 3ml or worst a 5ml, you are likely to 'blow' the pin off the end when using low viscosity fluids.
Next time I will cross the 'T's and dot the 'i's.
FYI - I work with documentation electronically stored for each and every pharmaceutical drug produced by the Co. I work for, some of them are mentioned many times in this forum.

stand corrected:
just come from my colleagues office with the full pin range and didn't see any and was told they are too thin at that length and bend to easy. Perhaps I should have got the catalogue out instead.
