I disagree strongly with this premise. You don't know how posting this data will affect the outcome. Survey research is one of the weakest types of scientific research to begin with. One of the most important rules of survey research is that the survey must be presented to every subject in exactly the same way. If you post constantly changing data updates, every subject is essentially taking a different survey, and your real sample size is reduced to the number of people who took the survey between data updates.

Wether or not you think this data will skew future results is irrelevant. It is the wrong way to do the research and it does make you results less meaningful.

This kind of stuff is why other sciences don't think very highly of sociology and psychology. They feel that it is ok to suspend the scientific method when ever they don't think it matters.

I completely agree with you, and it is a fact that other fields of science look down to a certain extent on sociology and psychology. Personally i do not like the Public Health PhD's, bastards steal my data from a study and come up with some retrospective BS about how those that exercise are more likely to trip and fall and stab themselves with a pencil than those who dont.....LOL

We will be collecting data for a couple more months, then it will take a few months after that to get the data analyzed and get things published. But really, once we are done collecting data we can post some preliminary results here.

Thanks for not minding the bump! I know it can get annoying, so I just don't want to push anyone's buttons. I am more of the practical exercise, steroid expert in the group and am helping with various tasks throughout the process (including being on the discussion boards getting people to fill the survey out :-)

I was going to say, someone who made up the survey has had to have cycled before. Because no way any PharmD or PhD, does the proper research to know all the compounds and varies other little things in the survey like this one did, and how its applied in the real world....LOL
