in the very near future our expected ages will start increasing faster than time itself propagates.....so if you can wait it out there will be a solution within the next 50 years for sure

aHA! But even IF there is some sort of super pill that allows for a person to live a few extra hundered years of so, do you want to be quasi-immortal in your mid twenties or when you are 70?

Because what you are proposing is being old and infirm at the age of 70 (50 years from now) forever, which seems like Hell to me.

getting older and dying is built right into the cell division process...sry but you're gonna die.

What you fail to realize is most increases in life expectancy are due to better care of babies and pre-birth care. Ever thrown a zero in your test average for the semester...fvcks shit up. Babies don't die, life expectancy goes up quite a bit. Healthy people don't live any longer now then they really ever have.

Looks like someone has been listening to Dr. Aubrey de Grey. I believe the term for what you are describing is "Longevity Escape Velocity".

    Go to

    www.mfoundation.org

For more info if you want to share in the sliver of hope that is the SENS project.

It is essestially about a 7-pronged approach to manipulating the human body through hormones, stem cells, and very ambitious gene therapy. It stands for
Strategies for Engineered Negligible Senescence. Fancy speak for "Finding ways to stop people from becoming weak and frail due to aging"
