I have a similar question. It has happened to me twice now, again about 15mins ago when i had my shot. I inj in my glutes, aspirate when i stick the needle in and proceed when there is no blood. Once i have finished injecting i aspirate again, and there was a bit of red blood when i did. I find it difficult holding the needle straight, but for the most part i keep it steady. Where is the blood from? It can't be that i've hit an artery, because there's no real pain.

Blood vessel, and why do you aspirate after injection?

When you pierce through the muscles it is lined with blood vessels the needle rips through causing blood to surround the muscle as the gear gets injected and you pull out pressure causes the blood to rise up and come out of the puncture.

Do you know what an artery is?

Guys its not rocket science, you are sticking a 1.5 inch needle into your body over and over, of course you are going to hit blood vessels, go figure its the human body and you are injecting into the muscle where blood runs to supply oxygen and nutrients.
