Thread: saturdays confuse the sh!t out of me....

    saturdays confuse the sh!t out of me....

    Ok here's the deal. On saturdays I just want to wake up and go lift as soon as I can to get it out of the way so I have all day to do whatever I want/need to. I'm confused about a few things.....

    1. I take no shotgun as a pre workout drink for energy / pumps..... it says to take it on an empty stomache......

    2. I would think i should have some food when i wake up before i go workout and lift.....

    so basically i need to wake up..... eat food.... wait 2 hours or more???? then have no shotgun? anyone have any ideas that will workout better? I have my routine perfectly setup mon-fri but weekends I need some help. Thanks!!

    wake up... eat your reg breakfast..

    here's what i had for b-fast today.. i just got back from the gym myself in the morning

    10 egg whites, pasturized, 2 eggs...

    1/2 cup oatmeal...

    1hr break..

    i take no-shotgun too.. right before i leave the house...

    u need to eat something... ur workout and your muscles will suffer if you dont

    ok cool! so i'll go eat a reg. breakfast..... and then 1 hour later take my no shotgun..... and go workout 30 mins after that? I guess I should have woken up earlier!!! lol doh! oh well working out to me is more important than anything else at this point in life so everything else can wait =P

    yup.. takes me about 30min to get to the gym from my place.. so yea, i follow that routine

    you can also add an intraworkout if you like, make a drink with some simple sugars and bcaa's, then sip during the workout

    On weekends, I'll sometimes get up, eat, then go back to bed for an hour. Then I'll wake up and take my pre workout deal and get to the gym. The key, as jamy said, is to make sure not to lift weights on an empty stomach. Too catabolic.

    would 'no synthesize' be considered that?? I drink that during workouts....

    post up a link to it's nutritional stats and i'll give you my opinion on it

    do you use it as an intraworkout always or just during larger muscle groups?

    There are the facts.... I use it just during every workout until I run out.... I won't buy anymore for a while probably though because I don't want to get too 'dependent' on it while working out.... I take that DURING workouts and no shotgun BEFORE Thanks phate and jamy and everyone

    looks fine to me, you could combine it with some simple carbs depending on if you are in cutting or bulking phase
