    nope. the hypocratic oath has nothing to do with Dr. Patient confidentiality. The hypocratic oath is an ethical stance required by liscensed doctors in which they agree to do no harm and treat the ill to the best of their abilities. I believe they are required to take this oath to be liscensed in the U.S. Dr. patient confidentiality is a legal right that patients have in the U.S. and it has nothing to do with any oath that a doctor may have taken.
