    165lbs
    15%?
    Diet - high protein, clean, nutrient timing, etc
    Training - 3-4 years; very little in terms of good progress due to low test

    Dude.. at that age your test levels are still growing. If you had really low test you would be like 130 pounds not 165.

    They're super low though. And I'm not a built 165. I've gained muscle relatively slowly while friends of mine have made much better progress.
    Would testosterone used to increase to normal levels have any side effects such as stunting growth, prostate cancer, etc?

    There are always potential side effects with gear...sadly most MD's are clueless about steroids...just follow what the Doc instructs you to do...if he moniters your bloodwork any potential serious sides can be prevented or treated.

    Like I said, I wouldn't be doing it with a doctor's supervision because he won't treat me unless I get an MRI which is not covered by my insurance.

    if he got tested over a two year period and his test levels are low then they are low.
