    I think most places require liability insurance, to protect the other driver, not you. I don't know of any states that require full coverage if there is no lein on the veicle.

    Correct automotive insurance protects the banks and the other people involved in the crash.
    health insurance is for your person.
    Could you imagine the impact on banks if insurance was not required for the dumbass's that total their brand new car they could barely afford in the first place.
    loans defaulting all over the place I mean who wants to pay 20 for a crumbled up pile of tin and plastic.

    Well, if it was covered on your HEALTH insurance......they would be fine.

    Point is, for what it cost for liability insurance, that person, or both people in a accident, could have health benefits.

    Would it be better to be covered all the time for any accident or sickness? Or just if you are in a car accident?
