Anyone ever had a pet get mange?

I've never heard of this before but I can see the logic since oil kills EVERYTHING. I'd only be concerned because oil leaves residue which could make the dog sick...but i guess if you dish soap wash them it will get most of it off.

Yea it works its one of those old men remedies I've done it a lot I've never had a dog get sick from the oil and it always clears the mange up. It gets really hot down here and the mange is very common everybody I know changes there own oil out there trucks so all my buddies have dipped their dogs in oil then after half hour or so wash em off

I've also done the used oil thing to a dog. It does work. Out here on trash pickup days houses leave oil out for recycle in certain areas. I just took somebodies
