Well if you look at it from the psychological perspective, I don't believe your actions are going to be able to cause an elimination of his behavior.

It's going to irritate his compulsions, because things will be out of place. One thing you should be very worried about is the possibility of altering his OCD... if you force him to adapt his behavior it could mean worse obsessions unfortunately.

... Look into Cognitive-behavioral therapy, it's genuinely one of the few forms of therapy that seems to have SOME impact on people suffering with OCD.
