I have read most of your post. The only thing I dont understand is and I have not heard you say; would this have been BAD in some way for you?

What is the problem if he was hoping to get something out of it also as long as you aren't at risk? Make a deal with him, be his guinea pig if it's not harmful but you get something out of it like free meds?
