Write something up regarding this, this would be something I would love to read, I have also recommend to others on prednisone to never cycle but if you have some other info I would love to read it
Have u gone into remission during those eight years? I used to eat everything before too, but I couldnt figure out why the meds didn't work or why they would not work for a prolonged period of time. Try adjusting foods so you can stay in remission for longer periods of time if you only go into remission for short duration. I know theres no evidence saying that food causes UC.

I could not find any offical writings on prednisone and whether it was good or bad, but I did talk with a few pharmacists that held their doctorates in their fields and they told me there should be no interactions. I also talked/chatted with some other people that were in the same situation and nothing bad was reported by them. But I should mention I was on a maintenance dose of prednisone ranging from 5-10mgs. Most people are usually taking a lot more than that (about 40mg then tapering off) well I tried tapering off prednisone but my symptoms returned. Doctor then said I was steroid (pred.) dependant. But if someone were to tell me they are on 40mgs of prednisone, that to me would indicate that the disease/symptoms are sever and I would also not recommend it.

I'll write more about my own experience, and I'll try to dig up some information for you.

The first few years I did come out of remission, this was do to stress not food. I removed myself from the enviroment and have been off all meds for the last 3-4 years.

When I first got U/C I was on 60mg of predinsone and tapper off, God that med sucks. That is why I recommended not to take it those high dosage really can screw you up. Regarding taking with AAS I would say hold off until your body recovers, I can recommend it for maintanence dosage since I have not ran it that low
