Those Trans Ams that came with the 455 "super Duty" engines were fast.

But, so were the 400 ram Air's.

Same engine was ran in the GTO's

The new stuff is good, but I like the old Detroit muscle.

    Cars had lines back then.

Just a beautiful era in the auto industry.

I agree I like the classic stuff more, the problem is it takes a lot of body work to get a nice old car to look good. I really like the RestoMod stuff in an old car. Modern EFI, with 6speed manual. Putting out 500+ horsepower and 20+mpg highway, with 4 wheel disc brakes and Aluminum Alloy Wheels and maybe a little AirRide to top it all off.

I like the 8 mpg stuff.

You know that the auto makers underrated all there engines horsepower do to some regs that were going on at the time?

Fords 428 CJ was a killer.

    Dodge's 426 hemi was ridiculous.

Chevy had the aluminum block 427 tri-power.

This sh*t is like talking GUNS to me!

    Another hobby so to speak.

    Yup.

    Quick funny story:

If with my friend, and he has 2 of his Buick's there. A original stage three 455 GTX, and a 455 wild cat, I'm can't remember exactly. Anyways, his girlfriend is polishing and waxing the cars, and it's like 95 degrees in the sun. So, I'm talking to him and she stops and looks at him. Then she says, "Jim, what do you like better , these cars or me"?
He turns and says, "don't you ever ask me that fvcking question ever again"! Then she went back to waxing the cars.I had to walk away so I could go bust out laughing!

    Funny as all get out.

Guy has over a million dollars in his collection, beautiful cars.
Some are like 1of 2 ever produced.

    Awesome stuff guys!
