muscle spasm/twitch when i inject

just wondering if its normal for people to get twitches or muscles spasms when they inject


i inject in the quads

i use a 23 gauge, 1 and 1/4 inch needle length

left leg always goes great, nps der

however
everytime time lately when i inject into my right, (when i peirce my skin and slide the needle in), about just past half way in my leg has the biggest spasm/jerk

its like it jumps, and it really fricken hurts when theirs a needle sitting in it

once the needle sin it fine, its just when it goes in my leg has a random spazz out for 1 or 2 seconds

anyone know why this is happening? or has had this happen to them aswell?

LOL. That freaked me out the first time it ever happened. When that occurs, I usually pull it and reposition it to come off the nerve.

Had the same. First quad shot and kinda freaked...lol. I hear nerves are easier to hit in the quads compared to glutes and delts. I'm on an ester so I just rotate left/right glute/delt. Not messing with quads if I don't have to.

Same exact thing happens to me in my right quad. I get bruises sometimes from it and i'm always thinking that my quad is going to flex while the needles inserted but it hasn't. I found my sweet spot though and simply keep the spot shaved so i know where it's at. My tri's have given me problems recently as well. But never delts.

Yes, totally normal. I was injecting into the right glute. Once the needle was completely in I began to inject as I normally would. While pushing the plunger in I had a fast and very painfull twitch/spasm which caused me to pull the needle out b4 I finished injecting. I was freaked and in alot of pain so I waited for the next inject day to come around b4 messsing with that again. Too much pain for one night. lol.

the upper outer quad is your best bet..... definately not in the middle of your leg!

perfectly normal, ive had my leg shoot out straight b4 whilst injectin quads, as haz said, try staying at upper outer part
