That's what rui told me to do when my tamox and clomid crashed.

Also I do believe they heat up the substance to make it dissolve in solution.

So microwaving your tamox for 10sec or so will be fine...i've done it many times.

Microwaves use radiation to heat the water molecules in substances causing them to vibrate and gain energy, thus raising their temperature of the substance, but if the substance is being heating it could warp it's molecular shape and thus make it less effective or denature it where it is useless
