I don't think there is a specific type of training to do. IMO I believe you should always lift heavy 6-8 reps. If you use too light of weight then its more like cardio IMO. If you wanna cut then I guess you could lift lighter with more reps, but a lot of guys say to lift heavy regardless and just step up the cardio. I've been able to drop some bodyfat and gain muscle at the same time. It isn't easy though, and you will never gain AS MUCH muscle doing it that way.
