During early 2008, I was 180 lbs and had a 35" waist (max circumference of abdomen, not hip). I used to wear 36" waist pants. Based on my lab work, my testosterone was about 395 and I was not feeling good. My previous doctor didn't put me on therapy. So, I tried to raise my T level with Novedex XT (anti-aromatase T-booster). I felt strong on it and got more muscular while working out. I did not gain any fat on Novedex. After 2 months (in August 08), I decided to quit it. From August 08 to June 09, I gained fat around my midsection and was wearing 38 size pants with same diet as before. At that time my T-level was around 195 and my doctor decided to put me on TRT.
I have tried gel and now I am on cypionate 120 mg/week. Now, I am wearing 40" size pants.
My daily diet at work
I leave from home at 5 am. Before leaving I drink 1/2 serving of muscle milk (150 cal, 15 g protein)
5:30 am - Two whole grain bread slices with 1 teaspoon peanut butter and 1 teaspoon jelly.
8:30 am - 1 ounce of almond (approx 22 almonds), 1/2 bar of VPX zero impact protein (approx 200 cal, 15 g protein)
10 am - 1 apple
11:30 am - 210 cal chicken salad (46 g protein)
1 pm - 1 apple, remaining 1/2 bar of VPX zero impact protein (200 cal, 15 g protein)
4 pm (at home) - 4 deli turkey slices, handful of peanuts
5 pm-6 pm (treadmill) - interval training with high and low elevation
6:30 pm - 1 bar of Pure protein (200 cal, 20 g protein), 1 apple
9 pm - before going to bed, I drink 1/2 serving of muscle milk (150 cal, 15 g of protein)
On weekend, I do 40 minute cardio on eliptical and about 40 minute of strength training. I bench press 225 lbs. I can easily do 15 reps in one time. I usually stay at that weight. I once tried 275 lbs and was easily able to do 6 reps in one set. I also do seated squats. In short, I do whole body strength training on weekends.
The reason I mentioned about arimidex is because I have heard that when estrogen gets elevated (with TRT, even if in the normal range), fat increases. So, I am trying to control estrogen while increasing free testosterone. Free testosterone is the only thing that is of any use, not total. Arimidex should also help with bloating. I don't have gyno, but I get chest gets puffy at times. Just like amcon said, I feel puffy all over my upper body (only upper). This puffiness is not 24/7 but happens at irregular intervals. My current total T on seventh day (before my next shot) is 644 ng/dL. Free T = 1.53 ng/dL, estradiol = 44.1 pg/ml. And NO arimidex is not a fat burner. I wasn't trying to imply that.
