Unless you have a pre-existing heart condition, no.

OK thats great!! It's just I remember reading something about how it may increase the size of your heart, because you heart after-all is a muscle, and that this can be dangerous......is this completely wrong?

    Thanks

Well okay...steroids obviously are not healthy for your heart...so there are always risks. If you are susceptible to certain heart conditions or spasms then steroids could probably excerbate or bring on an undesirable condition.

On another note I think weight training increases Left Ventricular size more than cardio does. Somebody please correct me if I am mistaken here.

I do high intensity interval training on AAS and feel great.

Oh okay. In that case it would seem there wouldn't be any problems....I have no previous conditions, and in any case my heart is in tip top condition from the amount of training I do.

Btw...this may sound stupid, but surely left ventricular increase is a good thing?

I'm not sure how "good" it is but when it occurs as natural as a side consequence of weight training it's nothing to worry about but if it's not observed as a direct consequence of training than it can actually be a sign of cardiac pathology.

Don't cyclists normally use EPO when training?

    Yeah but that's different.

I understand that EPO is only affective while using the drug, and the few months after, unlike a steroid which, used in the right way can trigger a sustainable increase in muscle mass, and so increase my strength to weight ratio.
