IMO, has less to do with trying to make use of the short esters and just keeping your blood levels stable like cgb stated. Shooting any test just once a week doesnt reulst in the best stability.

Well... You could probably get away with test e or c once a week..... being that its simply a long ester only... and being that trt guys do it ever 7-10 days. now its not a dose of say 500mgs but still.

I run test e eod..... I do it so im not shooting like 2-cc's 2x a week....
