Is the shot an intramuscular injection?

What gauge needle should I use to draw the vitamin, and what guage should i use to inject? I assume I should throw the needle I used to draw away after i finish drawing?

Yes, it is IM.

I generally use the same size needle that I would use to inject test into that particular muscle. Some people use the same pin that they used to draw to inject. I always switch. The pin you use to draw doesnt need to be huge though, B-12 is water based, and draws extremely easy through the pin.
