Vial leaked

It is UGL gear. Not a flip top. It has the rubber stopper in the top. On top of that was a metal seal holding the rubber down with a plastic cap that you break of to get to the rubber stopper. I guess in shipping the metal ring seal could have been smashed. But I can't tell. I have 2 of these vials and when they arrived they were both perfectly level to each other. Then all the sudden the one had a very slight leak and the level was barely lower.

I'm pretty sure you just described a flip-top.
