Sharks are a marvel of evolution. They are perfectly adapted to their enviroment. The electrosensory organs you talk about are actually a modified hair cell called ampullae of Lorenzini. They sense a change in electric polarity in the surrounding water. There is a electrolyte rich solution that comes out of these pores when squeezed. Another amazing thing about sharks is that they have a perfectly helical intestinal track. Meaning they spiral just like a staircase. Shark biology is amazing, as a part of my undergraduate studies I got to dissect probably 10 different species and numerous specimans. Fun Shit if you ask me.
