I think when people say weight loss they mean "fat loss". Steroids can help reduce fat by:

-Increasing metabolism (different from increased lean mass)
-Building more muscle which burns more cals per unit time

I've read about cutting cycles that involve test, but the core is still diet and exercise, but test can enchance the effect.

Just keep in mind the scale may go up due to water retention etc.. but Bf% should go down.

I realize this but the OP obviously doesnt and ft loss even on tren and var is greatly overated and would be a waste of time without a good diet.

My point was people see dudes ripped to shreds and think ohh juice did that-no diet did that. When you cut on juice its simple to hold onto muscle strength in a calorie deficiency thats it. Some will help cut more than others will but its not about drugs at all.

Absolutely True! the gear will help shred you up when you diet because you will not have to worry about your natty Test slowing down on a calorie restrictive diet!

I agree that diet is of the utmost importance, but if you are seeking to lose BF I'd advise against the calorie defficiency approach. When you train hard and try to run a calorie defficiency your body assumes you are being underfed. It slows down your metabolism in an effort to preserve the fat you have. Your body is geared toward fat retention, not muscle retention. Though we have much technology that no longer necessitates this system, it was designed to allow us to survive periods of starvation. If your body thinks you are starving it will burn 60% muscle to 40% fat.

Consequently what I have found works, and I have proven this with diet journaling, is to eat maintenance intake for your weight. You want a good 20/40/40 split of fat/protein/carbs. Then you shoot to burn at least 600 calories three days a week through cardio in addition to your weight training. Doing this on 3,500 calories a day I was able to lose 2lbs a week on average while still continuing to gain strength. That was 100% natural. I'm certain that if I'd added Anavar into that regimen the results would have been even better.
