Well, in the real world, the helpers who electricians around here use don't know up from down, so perhaps it makes the possibility of one being installed upside down more feasible. Otherwise, no, it doesn't matter. I doubt the electrical code says it MUST be one way or the other, but I could be wrong. I've had one of these fakes forever and have never forgotten which one it is![]()
