I wanted to come back and update this thread for anyone that is ever in the same situation that I was in and is considering going to a HRT Clinic.
Quick background, I had all the symptoms of low testosterone levels. I went to my primary care Dr with my concerns that i had low test. He told me that he could tell just by looking at me that I didn't have low test and that he would prescribe me some viagra if I needed it. After I demanded it he finally agreed to have bloodwork done on me but only to test for free testosterone because "that is all that is important" according to him. He also told me even if my test numbers came back low he wouldn't prescribe synthetic test because it "might give you high cholesterol"
So I decided to skip his bullshit "free test only" bloodwork that he ordered and contacted an anti-aging clinic that someone on this board pm'ed me when I asked for a referral in this thread. My experience with this clinic has been great so far. Today I got my bloodwork back and my test #'s were:

    Serum Test, normal range 280-800
    Mine - 255

    Free Test, normal range 8.7-25.1
    Mine - 3.9

What do you guys think? I realize the numbers are low for a 33 years old. What I don't quite understand exactly how low are they?
I can't wait to highlight these numbers with a marker and mail the paperwork to my primary care Dr. who told me that he could tell that my test levels were fine just by looking at me and that I was way too hairy to have low test!!

My contact at the clinic told me that I have LOTS of room for improvement and that he can guaranty that I will be feeling 1000% better once we get my numbers up to where they should be. I am relieved. I feel like this is the cause of a lot of problems that I have been having both physically and mentally.

I can't thank you guys enough for steering me in the right direction. I feel a debt of gratitude to you guys and this board. I'm going to take the time to help anyone that I can here in the future.

    Thanks Bros!

glad you got somewhere that is looking out for you...we all know that the clinic is the easiest way to go and most likely all would be with one if we had the dough...

as far as how low...pretty much you can see the range and where youre at...your free is even lower than your total % wise and agree that you will be feeling 1000 % better as your rep told you...

dont waste your time with the twit doctor let him be the best payback is living good

and thanks for your great attitude and sounds as if you will be a positive member on this forum

look forward to reading about your gains/success with your trt/hrt

x 2. Congrats to the OP on finding someone to help. Guess that shows how we as patients need to take control of our care sometimes. It blows my mind how ignorant & stupid PCPs & others can be on this subject...

Those numbers are almost exactly identical to mine prior to me starting TRT. At around 150mg/week, my total T was up to around 700. At 225/week, I was around 1100. Everyone is different, but your numbers should jump way up, and after a few weeks on TRT, you should definitely notice a difference. People make comments to me all the time now that I "look much healthier and energetic", and I've put on significant muscle mass (always struggled with gaining muscle weight) in just a few month's time at just a TRT level of testosterone. Granted, I've been hitting the gym like a mad man, but even in the past when I would turn into a gym rat, I always just got skinny and my strength gains were slow.

Keep us updated on your progress.
