    for salmon and trout fishing you need a licence and pay expensive fees, they are game fish.eels are in abundance in most british fresh waters. decent cod fishing means going out on a boat, mackerel are usually in abundance further out to sea, so again you needa boat. decent pollack can be had off the rocks but only really in warmer months. beach casting will catch mainly flounders with occasional bass if lucky. all fresh water fishing requires licence/land owner permission and the sea is free

    Nice one, the sea is obviously the best bet. Its just where to go that isnt too far and where I can be sure to bring home a load of fish

    a day out in a chartered boat will def catch you a stack of mackerel at least
