With that said, I don't subscribe to every moral belief and the Bible or any other holy book. I just apply what I feel, personally, works for me. I chose Christianity because it most closely falls along the same lines of my thinking. But I, by no means, believe in everything in the Bible, nor do I follow it dogmatically.

Like I said before, religion, is a personal choice. I don't fault any man or woman for their beliefs system if it makes them a better person. My problem with threads like this is that it becomes a justification as to why I believe what I do. Why should I have to justify my beliefs? Should be of no consequence to you or others. And yes, I do understand that religion, from its inception, has been the reason for more bloodshed than any other reason. Please don't insult my intelligence as I have not insulted yours or asked you to justify your beliefs. It's a personal choice and should not be bemoaned, unless I have done something to harm you personally.
agree with the last paragraph completely.

my question is: was it religion or government the cause for the most blood shed in history?
