lol I won't fault you for that! As for Slayer starting the revolution - which are you referring to? They most definitely had a big hand in starting the metal revolution, but they had nothing to do with hardcore whatsoever. Those bands were around before Slayer, and were influenced by 70's punk mostly - Sex Pistols, Black Flag, The Stooges, etc.
Minor Threat, Bad Brains, Agnostic Front, Warzone, etc were at the helm of hardcore.
Don't get me wrong, Slayer is one of my fav thrash bands of all time - notice they're in my top 5 when I started this thread. =)
