It will just be part of who you are and much easier.

Since you will have your own place time to learn how to cook. Stock up on the chicken, fish and lots of rice. Buy a rice cooker, you will need one. Eating right you can put on some good solid lean mass easily.
Thanks for the advice. A detached retina? That sounds pretty damn serious. I have no clue how that happens. Could you even see with that eye?

Physique wise I have made some progress, strength is still catching up but coming in steady. I was 100+ lbs weaker on all my lifts so it will of course take some time. Best squat at 170 2.5 years ago was 335, and best deadlift was 420 for 2 reps. Two weeks ago my best lifts have been 275 for 5 on squat and 365 for 5 on deadlift. Upper body pressing is kinda weak. So far I my best is a 190lbs close grip bench for 3 reps, and 170lbs push press for 3.

You can bet I am already in the kitchen man. Got the next three days meals cooked, put into tupperware (the cool little ones partitioned like dinner plates), and frozen. Just take them out, go to work, and put them in the microwave and it's eatin' time. Most of my meals are chicken and spinach or steak and broccoli, I snack on almonds. For the most part carbs are around workout times and they come from bananas and sweet potatos. Breakfast is also a carb meal and it is just plain oatmeal with cinnamon and strawberries chopped up in it, with a protein shake. Calories are right at 3200, protein is 260 grams, water intake can get past 2 gallons on weekends and is always at least 1.5 gallons per day. I am not a total newb with bulking up and slimming down, its just now I am trying this body recomp thing and learning what foods in what amounts I can eat to get/stay lean while continuously increasing strength. Trying to keep the scale weight right at 170lbs for now.
