You can get AI's very inexpensively even without a script.

I'm taking an AI and it is WAY less than what I'm spending on my test cyp.

I'm not currently on HCG but I am on very low dose Clomid which is even WAY cheaper than the AI.

    I'm well under $25 a month.

We CAN discuss legitimate RX prices on this board. No UG discussion at all.

So I finally got in to see the GP on 11/15. I ran thru everything with her, had my old labs and Dr. Chrislers recommended blood work...
So she proceeds to tell me that her husband is on TRT and "estrogen blockers" (her words), so she was all for it, but the practice she is in doesn't allow for TRT.
She recommended the AA doc in town (the only one) and said he was great. Problem is, he doesn't take my insurance.
So she did labs and said I could pick them up in a week. I finally got in touch with a competent person in records today who told me that "the doc has been trying to reach you". The office said that they couldn't release my results to me, even though I filled out their release, because the doc needed to see me to discuss.
To be honest, it's kind of freaking me out since I haven't felt good for a long while.
Thankfully, I only have to wait until tomorrow to see her.
    ...just had to vent...

Well, I got my results this morning, only to find out that she only ran some random tests, after I gave her Christlers list.

    Vit D: 31.8 - [30- 100] (up a little after 4000 iu/day for 2 mos)
    Free T4: 1.01 - [0.70 - 1.48]
    TSH: 1.73 - [0.35 - 4.94]
    Test Free - total: 281 - [348 - 1197]
    Free Test - direct: 9.9 - [6.8 - 21.5]

My total T is the lowest it's ever been, 83 pts lower than a year ago...WTF? No wonder I feel worse.
I have an appt with the AA Doc she recommended on 12/6. I will request the missed labs with him to have a good baseline.
    Let the games begin!

    Thanks jpkman.
After getting these latest results, I feel like sitting on the couch in my pj's and watching a chick flick with a big bowl of ice cream...
Seriously, it has been so grinding to wait and wait to get this figured out, I must look like the poster boy for the prozac that the first doc tried to get me to take.

Thanks to all for the knowledge and support that you all share on this board. I am starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel.

I feel like a little kid on Christmas eve.
I finally got to see the AA Doc today. The appt was great. He said it was obvious from my labs that I needed to be on T.
We talked about everything, and I asked about AI/HCG. He said that he does his first follow-up lab after the 3rd week (5 days after 3rd shot), and that those are introduced as needed.
He wrote my script for 200mg/week. He also said he was impressed with my having done my homework. He even knew about Dr. Christler.
I gave you guys props for sure!
If that doesn't beat all, the nurse came in after and said, let's give you your first shot today, since you are here, on the house!
I have to admit, my hands were a little shaky, just thinking that I may have finally gotten my life back on track.
Thanks ya'll for the motivation and inspiration to make this a reality! I am indebted to this forum.

Christ man, you just made my week

PLEASE do us all a huge favor, report weekly on your progress, health, well being, libido, physical shape...

Your Physician is spot on about adding in what is needed down the road. And the fact that the Doc is waiting only 3 weeks before next assessment is PERFECT.

My friend, you are in good care!!!

Thanks gdevine, bass, jpkman, & yannick. I could have never done this without your collective wisdom and encouragement.
I will be keeping a written log of everything, including gym time. I will certainly post my progress and labs in the hopes that it adds value
to the collective benenfit that this site has to offer.

    Cheers!

So one of the things I have noticed in my daily log is my BP is at ~ 135/80 as opposed to my normal ~ 110/70.
I realize that it is still ok, but I was wondering if there was a point at which it was indicative to give blood or do something else to regulate it??

Also, got my first morning wood in a loong time!

how many shots you took already? you can give blood any time, its good for you anyway, but usually you need to start giving after 2-3 months into TRT. are you doing lab work anytime soon? simply keep an eye on your hemoglobin, RBC and Hematocrit. drink lots of water and cut down on salt. when i was on var my BP went up to 177/95 at one point, now its 101/65. nice touch on that dancing banana BTW! glad you are noticing the benefits already.

Great news on the early morning boner ConArms! Know the feeling well. Not everyday, but pretty close

BP increase; could be tied to increase in your resting metabolic rate that happens (thank God) with exogenous Testosterone and a good thing

Yea...well...when you've been there and done that JD you get it

More than that JD, I have pretty much figured out (almost but not quite) how much pde5-i and alpha I blocker I need to get and hold an erection like I was 18 again 24/7. Talk about congratulating!!!

Aging sucks, that's why many of us are here!

I am 4 days into shot 2 and can't conclusively say I feel much different on the whole.
I was incorrect on my dosage, as I read it incorrectly. I am taking 120/EW.
My gym time seems like it may be going a little better--maybe a little more pump, and feeling a bit stronger.
But then again, I have been eating a hell of alot better than I was and drinking more water too.
It is dang hard to eat right, I tell ya. I have been eating like a 20 year old for so long...
Tracking my food has made it easier and adds to my guilt, if I cheat.
No obvious sides yet. Does my diet need to be nuts in order to see an appreciable fat loss?
I do hungry cardio 5+ days a week.

imo, if you are 20% or more no, not nuts just reasonable and in caloric deficit ...when you have less fat then ofcourse you need to get more strict

TOTAL Bullsh#t! Just another way to make you pay for an office visit! It's not your doctors bloodwork, it's yours. Demand it. Here's another thought. Tell the doc that you'll only pay when and if you see positive results.
