I second this (haven't had time to read the whole thread yet). One problem with trainers at my gym (not all trainers out there some are incredible) is they are afraid to push people past their comfort zone as they actually might get sore and the weak minded wouldn't return. All they care about is the $, I don't blame them. Another add on is no one does dead lifts at my gym, you should see the looks you get when you do them.
How the f--k do people not squat or dead lift, and they wonder why they can't weigh over 170lbs.
