Ultimately, fossil fuels are the prehistoric remains of dinosaurs and prehistoric vegetation, whether it is here for 30 or 100 years, it will run out one day.
I'm not for Nuclear power either, but its the best alternative we have now. Building near fault lines is plain stupidity though. I believe the secret of sustainable, almost limitless energy will come in the form of photovoltaics, solar panels...I think one day will be able to adapt super solar panels in outer space that will act as satalites harnessing power from the sun.
Pretty sure I read somewhere that the amount of sunlight that shines on 1 meter square of Sahara desert for 30 minutes would be enough energy to power the planet for a year.
