Quick question! Is it normal.....

i use a 20gauge needle at one inch and hit my glute and have no pain at all.

I draw with a 21g, and that looks like a knitting needle compared to the 23g 1.25" I use to pin glutes.
Couldn't imagine using a 20g ha.
