It's funny now that i think of it. when i was a kid, i'd go to the city (SF) and there'd be these wild parties on Broadway (redlight district, etc.). On one side of the street, there was a Satanic store (i think anton svander lavay owned it) and then on the other side, there'd be all these strip joints. So some of the parties i'd go to, there'd be the stripppers wearing some funky shiit, and then the bald headed satinist looking crowd, and everyone else in between. this was back in the late 70's

This would probably be on par with the types of parties you folks are talking about today?
